2. Cambride University is one of the oldest institutions in Academia. Yet it boasts buildings with a modern history. The Faculty of History was built in 1968 and is a beauty in its own right.

3. Lomonosov Moscow State University is a coeducational and public research university located in Moscow, Russia. It was founded on January 25, 1755 by Mikhail Lomonosov. MSU was renamed after Lomonosov in 1940 and was then known asLomonosov University. It also claims to house the tallest educational building in the world.


4. The Philological Library (German: Philologische Bibliothek) is the newest component of the “Rust and Silver Lodges” complex in the main campus of the Freie Universität Berlin. It was designed by internationally known architect Norman Foster, Baron Foster of Thames Bank in the shape of a human brain, and opened in 2005. The library merges the separate smaller libraries of the departments and institutes of humanities.


5. Run Run Shaw Creative Media Centre is an academic building on the campus of the City University of Hong Kong which was built in 2011. It is located on Tat Hong Avenue,Kowloon Tong, to the north of City University’s main campus. It was designed by Daniel Libeskind cooperating with Leigh and Orange Ltd. The building received architectural awards from Emporis and International Property Awards.


6. The Swanston Academic building is an RMIT building designed by the architecture firm Lyons and is located on Swanston Street in Melbourne, Australia across from Peter Corrigan designed building 8 and ARM’s Storey Hall.
